Designing a workshop bottle with AHO's identity

With the task of reflecting the school's identity by designing a water bottle, we decided to make a bottle for the core place for many of the students; the workshop. The bottle is meant to be gifted to AHO students after completing the workshop course, and is practical to carry and use in the workplace.

The bottle is inspired by the workshop environment with its straight lines, angles and industrial look. Each student would be given a "clean slate" to customize themselves.

The hole for the carabiner allows the bootle to hang from the belt, and the back has an indent to be comfortable against the body.

In addition to branding and identity, this task taught us how to prepare an object for blow molding. We made the mold using Fusion360, with focus on rounded edges and aligning the bottle properly. We knew that the upper corner of the bottle would be a challenge, but were eager to try it out. By inflating the plastic long enough before closing the mold, it covered the corner, and it turned out exactly as we wanted!
